Our training courses are designed to encompass most of the estimated costs of completing your training for the desired course(s). This includes your accommodations, training materials, aircraft rental, instructor time and simulator time as required. It must be noted here that even though our training courses are pre-paid packages and you are required to pay on your account during or at the beginning of your training, ultimately, you will only pay for the products and services you actually used during your training course. Ground training is not billed hourly, unless it is specifically agreed to. Ground training is billed at a flat minimum rate, and you get whatever and however much is needed to complete the course successfully. The ground training portion of the fee is considered earned at the end of the 3rd day of training. As it is billed at a flat rate, there are no refunds on ground training portion of the fee at the end of the 3rd day of training. Your attendance of 3 full days of class is an indication of your acceptance of the standards and quality of the ground training.

Upon completion of your training course, any unused funds remaining on your account can either be applied to additional aircraft rental or training if desired or will be refunded to you after a 30 day waiting period. If your training cost exceeds this pre-paid amount, a separate invoice will be generated for that additional training time and will be required to be paid in full before your checkride date.

The flight time required for checkride flight is set aside from the beginning, and is billed as checkride flight, and is reflected on the invoice as such. Training time is billed as DUAL and checkride time is billed at SOLO rates. An itemized statement of your account will be provided to you upon request at the conclusion of your time with us and upon completion of an audit of your charges.

A $1000 deposit is required with this application to guarantee your training slot. Cancellation fees will apply should you decide to cancel your training, or terminate your training. The cancellation fees will be deducted from your deposit and will be applied as follows: A $250 fee for a cancellation which occurs more than thirty (30) days prior to your stated intended start date. Fifteen (15) to thirty (30) days advance cancellation will result in a $500 cancellation fee. Less than 15 days advance notice of cancellation, or an early termination of your training will result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit. Thirty (30) to sixty (60) days after your training is completed, a thorough audit of your account will be performed at which time any remaining funds will be refunded to you.

CFI Academy accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, Travelers Checks, Electronic Funds Transfers, and Cash as forms of payment. Credit cards must be present. Electronic funds transfers must be initiated no less than thirty (30) days prior to your start date.

No guarantees are implied with any of our courses. The courses are designed to be completed in the times specified; however, circumstances that are beyond our control could prevent you from completing the course in the specified time. These circumstances may include but are not limited to the following: Adverse weather, equipment failure, DPE unavailability, and the student’s own limitations. In the case of a training course not completed in the specified time, the student may elect to extend their training until completed, return at a later date to finish the course or receive a refund of any unused funds on account. The training and hours received up to that point could still count toward your certificate or rating, even if you elect to finish your training at another facility. Our mission is to do all that is in our power to see that you achieve your goals during your training with CFI Academy. We pride ourselves on providing the best available equipment, materials, and instructors.

Ground School is billed at a flat rate. Your invoice indicates the charge for the ground training; as it is billed at a flat rate, that means even if you go over the minimum required ground training time, there is no additional charge to you; the full ground training fee is considered earned by CFI Academy at the end of 3rd day of training. Ground school fee is non-refundable.

Flight Training is billed hourly. That means, aircraft rental and flight instructor time is billed at their respective hourly rates. If you do not use all the rental and instructor time billed to you, the unused portion will be refunded to you after 30 days.

Housing rates are published and are non-refundable. You have the option to sign up for daily, weekly or monthly rental. We reserve the right to cancel the housing contract at any time and refund the remaining unused portion at a pro-rata.

Credit card payment chargeback is a common mode of defaulting to the agreed payment agreement. You agree to not initiate any chargeback for the services you have already received. If you do, we have the right to initiate a claim against you in the local Superior Court.

The invoice is for training, and the cost of training, and not for any guaranteed results. We train you, and we earn the fee to do so.

You agree to pay for the services received; irrespective of whether you achieve your desired results or not. We are a flight training institute, and our job is to provide instruction. You are free to discontinue at any moment, and the unused portion of the fee will be refunded to you.
